Men’s Day Out | Saturday 23 April 2022
Loads of banter with your mates, a pasty and a beer, plus a cracking rugby match at the end! Plymouth’s biggest and best Men’s Day Out is back for 2022, St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth’s 40th anniversary year.
Registration is open so that you can sign up to our iconic event, and we want to reassure you that as always, we are keeping a watchful eye on the COVID-19 situation so that we can update you if government guidelines nearer the time mean we need to adjust arrangements for the day. As a health and social care organisation, the safety of our patients and their families, our team, plus our wider community will always be our highest priority.
Men’s Day Out on 23 April is your opportunity to join hundreds of men on the move in aid of the compassionate care our charity provides for the many local families who need us at the toughest time of their lives.
Whether you take part every year or are new to our much-loved event, it’s a great opportunity to get together with your mates for a fantastic spring day out, doing good for your community.
Starting and finishing at Plymouth Albion RFC, the 12km walk kicks off at 10am and follows a planned route through Plymouth city centre and along the waterfront. Striding the streets, you’ll take in Plymouth Hoe and the Barbican as well as passing one or two watering holes along the way! You’ll then enjoy a well-earned pasty and a beer at Plymouth Albion RFC in time to see the team take on Taunton Titans in a not-to-be-missed clash.
Places at our popular event fly, so beat the scrum and register today to avoid disappointment!
Men’s Day Out 2022 is kindly sponsored by local business Jem Scaffolding Ltd.
How much is it to take part?
Registration is just £35, covering your t-shirt, rugby ticket, a pasty and a beer, plus event logistics – it’s your sponsorship and donations that make the difference to patients who need our vital service.
Many who take part in Men’s Day Out choose to do so in memory of someone special to them who has gone but will never be forgotten. If participating is your way of paying tribute to your relative, friend or colleague, rest assured you’ll be among guys who understand what it’s like to be bereaved and are really supportive, too.
